Wild tranquility

Have you ever touched the soul of nature? The purity, freshness and heart beats of nature………..its all filled with a wild tranquility; the true life, the one and only truth of existence; our mother nature. Try to imagine you are in the midst of a dense forest in the early hours of morning when lights just started sneaking through the thick green blankets around, which is yet again combined with the fear of some wild animal watching you somewhere hidden between the bushes.

Yes, am talking about a leopard for example. This particular place is well known for leopard, wild elephants and bear attacks. One of the most risky jungle routs in Kerala which connects Tamil Nadu and Kerala between Pollachi & Thrissur. This was our favorite drive route especially at midnight to get engaged face-face with wild animals. We have sited leopards 2 times on the road and many times with wild elephants. Elephants at Valparai and Malakkapara is considered to be the notorious among the forests in Kerala. Now-a-days public is not allowed to pass through between 6pm and 6am in any case. We waited from 3am to 6am to get the check post open for vehicles, which was well paid off.

SundayStills: Pets – On Guard

“Dogs are our link to paradise. They don’t know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring–it was peace.”

This is my most beloved pet, named Dashy. Got him when he was just 15 days old and he left me at the age of 15. Such a wonderful companion he was.

I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love. For me they are the role model for being alive, I learned a lot with them, I never wanted them to be think like human they’ll get spoiled. The funniest thing I ever learned from Dog was that “The dogs never talk about themselves but listen to you while you talk about yourself, and keep up an appearance of being interested in the conversation.”

You can talk to them a lot, when you are hurt, you can share with them. Sometimes my dog amazed me,  yeh! Still I don’t know it could read my face or even mind and would lick my hands or feet or even my face (if got a chance) as if consoling me. At times if we are dull, he would bring the ball and toast it to the air him selves as if asking us to play with him. If you think a dog never speaks or understand what you say, I can prove you are wrong, I don’t need to ask my dog to do something, he can read it from my face; like when some guests arrive at my home and if he is out, he won’t allow them to step in our compound until one of us turn up and greet them, then he’ll look on to me and make sure its okay, then slowly and peacefully he will go to his shelter. I am proud of him forever.

SundayStills “Bokeh”

This week’s ‘Sunday Still’ challenge is to post with Bokeh. Bokeh is basically the ‘quality of blur’ in simple terms, and means ‘fuzzy’ made with out-of-focus areas in photographs. The best magic always works with lights, and one can make bokeh with almost anything.

Larger the aperture better the result, shutter speed to be adjust accordingly and the closer you get to the subject the better. If we have a zoom lens it is advised to put it in the maximum focal length. And the most important and basic trick, adjust your focus manually.

Thankz to firaz for the tips :)

Today 21st NOV its my beloved wife’s birthday. With my full heart i’d dedicate this post for her ‘Many many happy returns of the day Minu”

This could be the first and the best portrait shoot i’v ever done, the very first day of his arrival in to our life

Bowhook dusk

This particular shot was from our recent trip with Ekaterina a sail boat in UAE. The dusk set up and our load of return (Yes it is difficult to return from a holiday) from a very fun filled trip made this very scene special to me. The model is a crew member of the Sail, they are usually called a Bowhook. This crew is usually does the overall surveillance of the ship while on sail and especially handles lines forward when the boat is coming alongside a pier or ship. The bowhook also tends fenders and forward weather cloths (canvases spread for protection against the wind). In an open boat, the bowhook usually sits on the forward thwart (cross seat) on the starboard side, outboard. In bad weather, she or he may move to the lee side. The bowhook faces the bow and serves as a lookout

When the boat approaches the landing, the bowhook should be ready to spring ashore with the painter (length of line secured to the bow of the boat for towing or making fast) and take a turn on the nearest cleat. When the boat approaches a ship”s side, the bowhook should be in the bow with the boathook, ready to snag the boat line and make it fast. The bowhook should always have a fender ready to drop over the side if a bump is unavoidable.

The crew are so positive and bold, sharing their experiences, still vigilant on their responsibilities and above all keep us well attended. Certain unattended things between our pleasure like these guys would definitely light up the whole show, as our Ekaterina trip was not what ‘wow’; the food served was just average, many of the promised or listed activities are never met, the place they chose for snorkeling turned out to be a great mess with oil sticking on our body and no much life we met down in the waters. But the attitude and the service they could provide us were outstanding. And we really appreciate those guys for giving us a wonderful experience.

This week the challenge was quite unique, to choose a starting point walk 25 steps at any directions and then 50 steps at any directions to take 3 snaps.

^ Start point, yes indeed 25 steps ‘U turn’ from my car :)

Creativity is a natural extension of our enthusiasm, at certain point its a surety that somthing worth is just waiting for us. I was quite sure of somthing stunning at my next 50 steps forward

My adventure well paid off, yes! pitty on those man made obstructions on true beauty of nature, but being positive i go that extra miles to get the best always (below)

SundayStills: Rocks & Rock formations

Durdle Door one of the most striking natural landmarks in England and is a natural limestone arch on the Jurassic Coast near Lulworth in Dorset. The most exciting experience one could have is when you take a walk between Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. This beautiful place is also England’s first natural World Heritage Site, the Jurassic Coast stretches from Swanage into east Devon. Its rocks date back 250 million years, and are stuffed with fascinating fossils that represent a geological ‘walk through time’. Moreover I loved this country side and the natural beauty it offered.
