The Ferry Man

“As we advance in life it becomes more and more difficult, but in fighting the difficulties the inmost strength of the heart is developed”

HGL-Ferryman

It truly amazed me how this 89 old year man makes living and support his family of 7 in a very remote village of kerala paddling across a 300 meters wide river daily ferrying passengers from one end to another. His routine starts at 5.30 in the morning until 8.30 in the evening and 24/7 standby for emergencies.

I salute this man who thought me ‘Age is an issue of mind over matter.  If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter’. I Challenge any modern youth to survive their imagination of putting themselves in this man’s shoes at their 89’s
